  • Judge Lawrence Korda just turned down Larry Birkhead’s request to get DNA from Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannie Lynn Hope. Birkhead’s lawyer Debra Opri the other day was trying to convince this judge that he had jurisdiction in this paternity case. He told her many times that he doesn’t think he has any jurisdiction but will read over all the paperwork and rule today. But Opri wouldn’t give up and even said that Dannie Lynn only had temporary residency in the Bahamas. The judge looked at her and said “temporary residency? This child is Bahamaian born and Bahamian residing and Bahamian everything and if you want to take up paternity, go down to the Bahamas and deal with this there where you will have jurisdiction”. Opri then said her client just wants to take his daughter home. The judge asked Opri if Dannie Lynn had ever stepped foot in the United States. And she still kept on arguing with him.

A Florida family court judge just rejected Larry Birkhead’s lawyer’s request to take a DNA sample for Dannielynn Stern, the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith that he claims he fathered. However, he did agree to “help” the California judge deciding the paternity case there with any DNA evidence necessary.

Judge Lawrence Korda ordered the DNA taken from Anna Nicole’s body to be preserved until and when it is needed by Judge Robert Schneider of Los Angeles County Superior Court to decide the paternity battle between Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern.

Interestingly, in response to a lawyer’s question, he said that by Florida law is “conceivable” that a child can have two fathers. . . . .Source: TMZ
